FLASHBACK: Massive King Broccoli Stalks!

I've been growing broccoli since the summer of 2023. Each year, I've gone with a Sun King Hybrid blend, which I've found is very efficient and easy to manage.

But last year must have been a record-setter! Take a look at this crudely taken selfie:

The tip of that broccoli plant was pretty much up to my shoulder! I'm about 5'5 for reference.

You can see in the gallery above that some of the broccoli was already bolting (obviously!), turning yellow & dying off when I took these photos. But I expected that, given it was around mid-September.

Record setter or not, I can say with certainty that the broccoli was delicious!
