Growing Leafy Greens on St. Paul’s East Side: Summer Kale & Cabbage Update

Good morning from a slightly cloudy East Side of St. Paul!

It's my first year growing kale and cabbage, and the results are mixed but exciting.

The kale is thriving—I just harvested a fresh batch for tonight’s dinner salad.

On the other hand, the cabbage is starting to flower, meaning it’s time to pull half the row and replant.

Meanwhile, the lettuce is looking great! Both the baby Caesar & large Caesar are coming in strong, and staggered arugula rows are looking incredibly solid.
